Welcome to Vallivue High School, Home of the Falcons!
Our school is proud of its long tradition of providing our students excellent academic opportunities and competitive extra-curricular experiences.

My name is Shane Carson and I am humbled by the opportunity to serve Vallivue High School students, staff, and patrons. I am proud to say I am a product of the Vallivue School District, graduating in the early 90’s, where I was given the opportunity to learn and grow into the person I am today.  After attending Western Montana College and later graduating from the College of Idaho, I started teaching and coaching at VHS in 1998. I am entering my 21st year working in this highly reputable school district.

Vallivue High School is committed to the complete education of each student with an emphasis on academic excellence, individual achievement, and social growth. We offer a student-centered and student-friendly atmosphere where success is expected, encouraged, and attained.

Vallivue High School has an outstanding student body that works to promote unity and solidarity between the freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior classes; older students serve as role models and peer-mentors for younger students adjusting to high school.  The teaching staff is empowered to build quality relationships with students and encourage students to be their very best.

As Vallivue’s Principal, I desire all students to take an active role in their own education by taking advantage of the many academic and extracurricular opportunities available. Our unified goal is that all students graduate with the necessary skills to successfully complete college, career, or technical training. Vallivue High School offers a comprehensive academic program consisting of advanced-placement courses, college-concurrent credit courses, professional-technical courses, a competitive debate program, and outstanding music programs such as orchestra, band, and choir. With over 30 clubs and organizations, along with 15 sports teams, students are sure to find something fun and challenging in which to participate.

Vallivue High School encourages all parents to take an active role in their child’s education by visiting the school, communicating with faculty members, and supporting extracurricular activities and organizations. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have a suggestion, concern, or would just like to get involved in your local school.

Respectfully,

Shane R. Carson, Principal
